Degree in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Zaragoza (1982). Specialist in Neurology at Hospital 12 October Madrid (1983-86). FIS scholarship for the extension of studies (1989-1990) in the Neuroimmunology Unit of the Yale New Haven Hospital (CT.USA). Coordinator of the Multiple Sclerosis Unit at the Princess Hospital in Madrid (1990-2003). Cum laude PhD from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).


Since 2003 she has coordinated the Multiple Sclerosis Unit accredited by the Spanish Society of Neurology in 2019 and leads a research team in Neuroimmunology, focused on the study and development of innovative therapeutic programs for patients with multiple sclerosis, a pioneer in cell therapy clinical trials. This team collaborates with other hospital services and other national and international health centres. It is part of the Network of Inflammatory Diseases (REI) attached to the Cooperative Research Networks Oriented to Health Results (RICORS) of the ISCIII. Researcher accredited by the AQUA. He has directed doctoral theses.


She has received public funding as principal investigator in several projects. He has published original articles on multiple sclerosis in specialized journals and participates in conferences on the disease at national and international congresses. Member of the Ethics Committee for Clinical Research (2004-2019) and the Biological Committee of Germans Trias (2016-present). Member of the ICS pharmaceutical and therapeutic subcommittee. He works as a teacher in various medical institutions. She has been president of the Madrid Neurology Association, coordinator of the SEN Multiple Sclerosis group and second vice-president of the SEN.
