Bachelor in Medicine and Surgery, Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona (UAB). Intensive Care Medicine specialist, Germans Trias Hosptial. Doctor in Medicine with the thesis "Predictive value of indocyanine green in cardiac post-op care" (Valor pronòstic del verd d’indocianina en el postoperatori de cirurgia cardíaca). Certified researcher. Her main areas of interest are acute renal failure, contrast-induced nephropathy, continuous blood purification techniques, pharmacokynetics and pharmacodynamics applied to renal failure and blood purification techniques, sepsis and endotoxemia, and hepatosplenic hypoperfusion.

Resident advisor between 2005 and 2013. Director and coordinator of continuous training courses: Updates in Intensive Medicine and Badafiltre Continuous Blood Purification Techniques. Associate lecturer in the UAB School of Medicine at the Can Ruti Campus, where he teaches the sixth year Urgent and Emergency Care course. She also teaches postgraduate courses at the UAB Doctorate programme.

Codirector of several dissertations and principal investigator in clinical trials with post-op cardiac surgery patients and with acute kidney injury and kidney failure. Member of the Catalan Society of Intensive and Critical Medicine, where she coordinates the Extracorporeal Blood Purification Workgroup and member of the Severe Sepsia Workgroup. Member of the Spanish Society of Intensive and Critical Medicine and Coronary Units, where she is part of the intensive care nephrology workgroup.
