In the obstetric area, Anesthesiology professionals collaborate in the care of women during pregnancy, childbirth and puerperium, with criteria of technical, human and scientific quality.

Together with the Obstetrics Service and the Neonatology Unit, the Anaesthesiology Service resolves doubts about pain management in the birth of all pregnant women through informative talks.

During the delivery process, epidural analgesia is offered in low doses to allow comfort while more mobility including, when care conditions allow it, analgesic walking.

In the programmed caesarean the presence of a companion is allowed and immediate skin contact is favored.

The Hospital has four rooms of individual parts, some of which have personal showers that can help control pain in the early stages of dilation. There are also two operating theatres with specific nursing facilities to cater for the pregnant woman.
