Not only healthcare professionals of the Catalan Health Institute work at the Germans Trias Hospital but also those of the:

 

• Catalan Oncology Institute (ICO), which has one of its centres at the hospital
• Fight AIDS Foundation (FLS), whose main office is at the hospital
• Aids Research Institute (IrsiCaixa), whose main office is at the hospital
• Blood and Tissue Bank of Catalonia (BST), which has one of its centres at the hospital
• Diagnostic Imagery Institute (IDI), which has one of its centres at the hospital
• Centre for Epidemiological Studies on Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Aids of Catalonia (CEEISCAT), whose main office is at the hospital
• And the Josep Carreras Foundation, which operates at the hospital and does research on campus through the Josep Carreras Leukemia Research Institute

In addition, the hospital does research through the Germans Trias Institute and trains medical and biomedical sciences students from the medical school that the Autonomous University of Barcelona has on the Can Ruti campus.
